La Tale: The Maple Story Counterpart? - Maple Story News

So my first class was a Warrior. Strongest DPS. On the bottom it showed what weapons were avaliable; Knuckles, Swords, Lances. Alright; Sworsd, love em. I enter the game and WOAH what's this.
A cinematic screen comes up displaying a manga-esque cutscene which also serves as a mini tutorial and gives you back ground to what's up with the game story-wise. I enjoyed it personally... and seeing as though it was all cute I passed on how bad the english translation was (Well it wasn't horribly bad... I'm an English critic, leave me alone. Heh... critisizing a language with some of the most confusing concepts eh).
So then, not spoiling that, after the little interactive cutscene, you start in the tutorial area where you are given the choice to take it by going to the right or skip it by going to the portal to your left. Naturally I did it just to check it out; standard procedures of controls, teaches you the basics. It was good; informational.
So after the tutorial I run around the town. Woohoo I see the (!) classical mark of QUEST. so I check out the npc and indeed it was a quest! Yay!!
So the first few quest were: Talk to other npcs. Kill some monsters, and one intersting one. Loot corpses 150 times. Alright so I happily did all of them and enjoyed the smooth battle animations. Much more quicker than Maplestory Mesos and much more smoother; I liked.
Turning in my first quests ... pop... The same quests? Was this a bug? I did them again and turned them in... they came up again. After the third time of finishing them however it was gone so it was just an odd streak. This happened to about all my characters so I don't think it wasn't on purpose... That was quite odd.
Let's fast forward to level 10 as I just repeated the process of questing and killing... I realize that 2 hours have passed and I'm only level 10. Wow. That means the leveling gets slower.. and I was right on the way to level 20... However the monsters are easy to my knowledge. I ended up leveling by mobbing about 10 monsters and killing them all easily.
Side Notes to my experiance... I couldn't try out the pvp; I don't know why though. I talked to one npc which told me to talk to sign up... then another npc who told me to go back to the first. Sigh.. No pvp for now :(
